As the marching season approaches in Northern ireland I thought I’d have a look through the archive from seasons past. I have all the usual. bands/riots/lines of RUC/Army etc etc. But I came across these snaps from the 1st time I used a digital camera on a news job. It was a Kodak body producing 5MB images and as we can see little low light ability. It was massive and a pig to use. I dismissed these images for a long time as completely useless. And they are and now that is the reason I like them. Useless as news pictures. But as with many things 13 years laters they are part of my own personal history and my move to digital.
